More than 100 Annual Investment 100 Fortune Global 500 enterprises participated in the 2019 Guangzhou Annual Investment Conference which runs from April 2 to 3.
This marked the Guangdong capital's involvement in another international event after it was highlighted in the recent China Development Forum 2019 in Beijing and the Boao Forum for Asia in Hainan province.
The theme of the conference is "Historical City with Dynamism".
The conference includes a plenary session, special sessions, the "Guangzhou Night" welcoming banquet, meetings with city leaders, as well as a science and technology achievements innovation exhibition among its numerous activities. The total number of guests attending the conference was over 1,000.
Twenty-two featured sub-forums, focusing on the next generation of information technology, artificial intelligence, biomedicine and new materials, the new energy industry, new business, and new business models, will be hosted over the two days in Guangzhou.
According to Guangzhou's municipal commerce bureau, the conference will hold the science and technology achievements innovation exhibition for the third year running, enabling Guangzhou enterprises to showcase their latest technologies and development achievements. A total of 26 companies have joined in the exhibition with 98 exhibits which cover the city's key areas such as the next generation of information technology, biomedicine, new energy, and new materials industries.
Ehang, Guangzhou-based intelligent aerial vehicle technology company, showcases its UAV product at the science and technology achievements innovation exhibition.
Guangzhou's auto maker Xiaopeng Motors displays its autos at the exhibition.
