The International Outdoor Documentary Film Festival of China (OUTDOCS) is now calling for entries. Submission deadline is 24:00 (GMT+8) 15th September, 2020.
OUTDOCS is dedicated to developing a unique platform for outdoor documentaries. Using film, the festival pays tribute to the splendid world scenery, the progressive sports and the adventure spirit of humanity.

OUTDOCS 2020 demands a spectrum of topics, from exploration and adventure to sportsmanship, journey and environment, calling all OUTDOOR documentaries to join the carnival.
Established in 2017, OUTDOCS's primary aims were to explore the fields of outdoor documentaries’ content creations and developments. Later, it become one for the most popular gatherings of the outdoorsy people all around the world. In 2018, the first outdoor carnival was at the Guangzhou International Media Harbor. In 2019, OUTDOC launched its first competition on a global scale, collecting 993 submissions from 88 countries and regions.
Among these submissions, a number of films had been nominated and/or awarded in other well-established outdoor film festivals. The winner of OUTDOCS 2019 Best Documentary Feature, ARTIFISHAL, was awarded in the Banff Mountain Film Festival 2019. The Frozen Road, OUTDOCS 2019 Best Documentary Short winner, was nominated and awarded in Banff Mountain Film Festival 2017, Kendal Mountain Festival 2017, and New York WILD Film Festival 2018.

Through various cultural activities such as competitions, public screenings, interactive events and exhibitions, OUTDOCS provides extraordinary opportunities for outdoorsy people, extreme sports fans, adventurers, photographers, filmmakers and environmentalists to share their profound journeys, unexpected adventures, and ground-breaking expeditions.
