Visa centers opening in Guangzhou

As of February 25th, the visa centers for many countries in Guangzhou have reopened. Japan, Netherlands and Poland are not currently accepting applications for tourist visas. Visa centers for Australia, South Africa and New Zealand are closed until March 2nd.

Some visa centers will remain closed until March 2nd, including Canada, Australia, Italy and New Zealand, according to Guangdong’s CTS Visa Consulting Service and Tigerwing Visa. The opening dates for Britain, Ireland and Czech visa centers are to be announced.

Visa centers that are now open have adopted special health as safety measures. All visa centers have set up temperature screening and visitors should wear masks.

For instance, the Republic of Korea visa center in Guangzhou is conducting thorough cleaning three times a day, and every visitor entering the center must have their temperature checked and registered.

Visa application materials are exchanged with no direct contact. The staff wear sterilized gloves and mobile payment Is being used to reduce the risk of infection caused by cash exchange.

Despite these measures, it is still suggested that you avoid going to visa centers in person unless absolutely necessary.
